Hi ya folks. It's been a long time since I last written a post for the DEMI English blog (I've been too busy playing with the turtles). Anyhow, I just wanna drop by to announce there will be a meeting for all UMT English debaters where we will discuss on the following:
i) ice-breaking with the junior debaters;
ii) the situation with the English team;
iii) training for the Royal Debate; and
iv) CIMB Group World Universities Peace Invitational Debate (WUPID) 2008.
Please take note of the following details:
Date: 9th of October (Thrusday)
Time: 20:00 (that's 8pm for you simple lot)
Venue: To Be Confirmed

I do hope the meeting will be a progressive one and that you guys will be able to perform much better than before. In the mean time, there is also another thing I wish to share with you guys.
Ever heard of the People Speak? It is an initiative by the United Nation's Foundation in 2003 that addresses key issues and encourages the participants to share their views, comments and opinions; which is basically like an online debate site. Since international issues is always included in every motions of debate tournaments, I would truly recommend that each of you guys to check out the People Speak website and hopefully you guys would take the initiative to enroll not just yourself, but also for UMT to be part of the online forum.
